Our vision is to be a church who passionately follow Jesus and lead our community into relationship with Him. We believe we are called to raise up an army of sons and daughters and release them into their divine destiny. Below are some of the things that we believe that God has called us to be:
We recognise that every good thing starts in His Presence and as a group of people we will be passionate in our pursuit of the Presence of God. Just like Moses and the Israelites, we want to be a people that only go where he goes and who stay when he stays. We will be responsive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in all that we do and will make space for God to move in our midst.
Worship is our highest priority and we want to be a community who worship God with our whole lives so as to bring glory to God. Musical worship is hugely important to us as a rhythm for submitting our whole hearts and lives to Jesus. When we worship we expect God to meet with us and to be changed in His Presence. Above all else, we want to be a community who value intimacy with Jesus in our worship.
We want to stand out as radical examples of how to love with our wallets. We want our church to be an incubator for generosity which would be contagious and flow out into our community. We believe that God has called us to speak for those who can’t speak for themselves and to stand in the gap for the poor, the vulnerable, the lonely and the broken hearted. We will contend for mercy and justice in every part of our society.
We are an army that carries the love and peace of Jesus to bring healing and wholeness to every part of society.
As part of God’s family, we carry the healing power of Jesus for each other. As a church we want to make space to allow people to process hurt and experience the healing power of the Holy Spirit.
We want to be a community known for our joyfulness and celebration. We pray that as we experience fun together that it would overflow into our communities.
We want to be a community of people who are real with each other and the world around us. We don’t do squeaky clean pretence – we want to release people to be who God has called them to be.
1500 years ago, missionaries like Columbanus, Gall and many others set sail from Bangor to bring the gospel light to Europe. We believe that God has called us to be a community that trains, equips and releases many more to carry the light of Jesus to the ends of the earth.
We believe that Jesus has called His church to be a training ground for a life lived in partnership with the Holy Spirit. Jesus has intended His church to be a school where we can learn what it means to follow him day by day. It is in and through our church community that we aim to teach people to do what Jesus did – that is, pray for the sick, share our faith, set people free and release His Kingdom into every part of society.
