COME AS YOU ARE
Welcome - We understand that coming along to a new place for the first time can be a daunting prospect. At Bangor Vineyard we do everything that we can to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible.
We meet in Queen's Parade Methodist Church, 5-7 Queen's Parade, Bangor, BT20 3BJ.
Our Sunday service begins at 10:30am.
There is a small amount of on‑street parking available on Queen’s Parade, though these spaces tend to fill up quickly.
Several city‑centre car parks are free on Sundays, including The Vennel Car Park on King Street (take the left turn off the main street just before Santander). It’s only a short 2‑minute walk (around 150 metres) from where we meet.
If you don’t mind a slightly longer stroll, Eisenhower Pier Car Park offers 132 spaces and is another good option.
Most people who come along are dressed in a casual manner. However if you would like to wear your new suit or dress you are totally welcome! Please feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.
When you arrive you will be welcomed by one of our welcome team who will direct you upstairs to the main theatre which is on the 1st floor.
Our morning service launches with a time of celebration and passionate sung worship. This normally lasts 20 minutes and will be directed from the front. All the words are on the screen so if you want to, you can sing along. We encourage you to relax and engage at your own pace, even if that means not singing at all. We usually stand to worship but you are free to sit down at any point during this time.
Normally after worship we communicate some details about upcoming events then we have a talk which lasts approx. 30 mins, and is challenging, biblical and applicable to all or our lives. At the end of the talk, the worship team will normally lead us in another song of worship as we reflect on what we have heard and respond. We normally conclude this part of the morning by 11:45.
If you signed your children into one of our kids groups, we ask that you collect them promptly at the end of the gathering.
Once you’ve picked them up, we’d love you to join us for tea and coffee in the café area at the front of the Fountain Centre.
The building is equipped with a lift. If you need step‑free access, please enter through the Fountain Centre (to left of main building) and take the lift on your left to the first floor.
Our welcome team will be ready to guide you as soon as you arrive. An accessible toilet is also available.
We begin with all ages together in the main church for the first 25 minutes. After a short time of worship, our kids' rooms and youth room open up.
We currently have three different rooms for children and young people:
Lifeboats: Babies to pre-school (and their parents/carers)
Engine Room: P1 to P7
Youth: Y8 upwards
All of our kids' and youth rooms are located in the Fountain Centre. If you're visiting for the first time, our welcome team will be happy to show you where they are. Otherwise, just follow the crowd after worship!
For parents or carers of babies and toddlers: you're more than welcome to stay in the main theatre with your child, or join others in the Lifeboats room for play, songs, Bible stories, simple crafts, and a space to pray and encourage one another.
