SUNDAY SERVICES

COME AS YOU ARE

Welcome - We understand that coming along to a new place for the first time can be a daunting prospect.  At Bangor Vineyard we do everything that we can to make your experience with us as enjoyable as possible.

Where does the church meet?

We meet in the SPACE building which is owned by South East Regional College (SERC).  It is on the Castle Park Road opposite the main SERC building.

What time does it start?

Our Sunday service begins at 10:30am.

Where can I park?

There is a car park beside the SPACE building (in front of Bangor Academy).  There are also some spaces at the side of the road if the main car park is full.

What should I wear?

Most people who come along are dressed in a casual manner.  However if you would like to wear your new suit or dress you are totally welcome!  Please feel free to wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

What should I expect?

When you arrive you will be welcomed by one of our welcome team who will direct you upstairs to the main theatre which is on the 1st floor.

Worship

Our morning service launches with a time of celebration and passionate sung worship.  This normally lasts 20 minutes and will be directed from the front.  All the words are on the screen so if you want to, you can sing along.  We encourage you to relax and engage at your own pace, even if that means not singing at all.  We usually stand to worship but you are free to sit down at any point during this time.

Normally after worship we communicate some details about upcoming events then we have a talk which lasts approx. 30 mins, and is challenging, biblical and applicable to all or our lives.  At the end of the talk, the worship team will normally lead us in another song of worship as we reflect on what we have heard and respond.  We normally conclude this part of the morning by 11:45.

What happens next?

If you signed your children into the kids groups, we ask that you collect them promptly afterwards. We then invite you all to join us for tea and coffee afterwards.  There is a coffee area in the atrium which is outside the theatre.

Accessibility

The building is very modern and has good disability access throughout.  We meet on the first floor and there is lift available if required.  Our welcome team will be more than happy to direct you.  There is also a disabled toilet available.

What is there for children and young people?

We begin with all ages together in the main theatre for the first 25 minutes. After a short time of worship, our kids' rooms and youth room open up.

We currently have three different rooms for children and young people:

Lifeboats: Babies to pre-school (and their parents/carers)

Engine Room: P1 to P7

Youth: Y8 upwards

All of our kids' and youth rooms are located upstairs on the third floor. If you're visiting for the first time, our welcome team will be happy to show you where they are. Otherwise, just follow the crowd after worship!

For parents or carers of babies and toddlers: you're more than welcome to stay in the main theatre with your child, or join others in the Lifeboats room for play, songs, Bible stories, simple crafts, and a space to pray and encourage one another.
