We'd love to invite you to Alpha, beginning Wednesday 23rd September, upstairs in the Red Berry Café on Main Street, Bangor. Alpha is a welcoming space to explore faith, ask questions, and share your perspective in a relaxed environment.

 
What is Alpha?

We believe everyone should have the chance to explore faith. Alpha is a series of weekly sessions that look at big questions about life and the Christian faith. Each evening includes a short talk and plenty of space for conversation. Alpha runs all around the world, and everyone is welcome.

 
Who is Alpha for?

Alpha is for anyone who's curious. Whether you're exploring faith, returning to church, or simply wanting to ask honest questions, Alpha offers a friendly, open, and informal environment. No question is off limits, and you're free to share as much or as little as you like.

 
When it’s happening

Alpha begins Wednesday 23rd September and runs for 11 weeks.

We’ll also spend extended time together during a non‑residential Alpha Weekend on Friday 20th November and Saturday 21st November.

Where it's happening?

All Wednesday evening sessions will take place upstairs in the Red Berry Café. The weekend sessions in November will be hosted in another local venue, which we'll confirm closer to the time.

 Keys to Freedom is an interactive discipleship course, designed to help people live free and stay free.

We'll be meeting as a group over eight Friday evenings from 11th September to 11th December to share together and pray for each other.   In between meetings, there are some devotional style readings for each group member to work through individually.

Throughout this course you will be equipped and empowered in your relationship with Jesus as you explore the following topics:

- Recognising God's voice
- Committing and connecting fully to Jesus
- Renewing your mind
- Choosing to forgive
- Healing life's hurts
- Breaking generational patterns
- Using your authority in Christ
- Maintaining lifelong freedom

Using biblical teaching, practical application and reflective questions, every participant will gain the opportunity to draw closer to Jesus and discover greater freedom in their life.

We believe God is calling men out of isolation and into purpose. A man discovers who he truly is not only before God, but also in the presence of other men who see him, know him, and walk with him.

Anam Cara is more than social connection. It's more than banter. 

Anam Cara is an old Irish phrase meaning "soul friendship." We want to create space where men learn to speak honestly, carry one another's burdens, confess weakness without shame, and call out the God‑given strength buried beneath their shadows.

This is the heart of the vision:  

Men who are no longer alone.  
Men who are no longer hiding.  
Men who are fully alive in their Kingdom purpose.  
Men who walk together, soul to soul, toward Jesus.

Men of Faith, rise up and sing  
Of your great and glorious King
You are strong when you feel weak
In your brokenness complete

During this course we will be using a book called Fighting Shadows by Jefferson Bethke & Jon Tyson along with some video content.  

There is a small cost of £5 towards the cost of the book and the course content.  

When: Thursday Evenings at 7:30pm starting Thursday 10 Sept 2026.

A different day...

It is clear to many of us that something is stirring and this moment is indeed different.

There is spiritual hunger, talk of "quiet revival", stories of hope and radical salvation, alongside an increasingly fractured world that is constantly shifting and a leadership landscape that is full of challenge.

Our regional conference is a time for our wider Vineyard family from across Ireland to get together, to worship, to pray, and to seek God for a different day.

At our gathering we will hear from Irish voices as we discern together what God is saying to our Vineyard Church in Ireland and how we follow Jesus, love, lead and create legacy as we inhabit this different day.

We are praying for God to impart fresh vision, calling and momentum across Ireland as we see lives made new in all our communities.
